libdc1394-22-dev software package provides high level programming interface for IEEE1394 digital camera - development, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdc1394-22-dev
libdc1394-22-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdc1394-22-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdc1394-22-dev *
You will get with libdc1394-22-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
